Building Stability, Healing and Opportunity for Vallejo Youth

Vasa Educational Services supports young people in Vallejo who are navigating homelessness, foster care, and unstable housing.

We create pathways to stability through housing support, healing spaces, and hands-on workforce development rooted
in culture, care, and community.

about image.png

Why Vasa Educational Services Exists

The Vasa Educational Services empowers community members through education, mentorship, and skills-building programs to achieve housing stability, living-wage opportunities, healing, and community leadership. We offer a safe space to learn, grow, and connect, guiding individuals toward self-sufficiency and community strength.

  • Some are aging out of foster care.

  • Some are couch surfing or experiencing homelessness.

  • Some are working to survive while trying to stay connected to school, family, and identity.

Vasa Educational Services exists because survival should not be the end point for any young person. We are building systems of care that help youth move from instability into belonging, stability, and long-term opportunity.

A Three-Part Model for Youth Stability and Growth

Vasa Educational Services is built around three interconnected spaces:

Border.png

The House

A place for stabilization, support and navigation.

The House provides youth with access to trusted adults, resources, and support systems that help them move from crisis into stability.

Border (1).png

The Garden

A space for healing, food and reconnection to land.

The Garden uses food, agriculture, and outdoor learning to support wellness, cultural connection, and restoration.

Border (2).png

The Workshop

A creative and workforce development hub.

The Workshop provides hands-on training in media, digital arts, trades, and entrepreneurship—helping youth build real pathways into income and long-term careers.

Youth at the Center

We serve transitional-age youth (ages 17–26) in Vallejo who are:

• Experiencing or at risk of homelessness
• Transitioning out of foster care
• Navigating school disruption or system involvement
• Facing barriers to employment and stable housing

Our focus is on youth who have been most impacted by structural inequity—and who hold the greatest potential when given real support.

From Survival to Stability to Leadership

Vasa Educational Services meets youth where they are and supports them through layered engagement:

• Immediate support and navigation through trusted relationships
• Access to healing-centered spaces and consistent programming
• Hands-on skill building through workshops and creative training
• Connection to education, workforce pathways, and partner systems

We do not offer one-time services—we build long-term pathways.

• Collaboration with public health and community organizations
• A developing on-the-ground space for housing navigation and support

We are actively expanding our capacity to serve more youth and deepen our impact.
